What serious client crisis???

A team member came up to me today and asked if I knew anything about the “serious client crisis”. My natural reaction was one of great concern, yet quiet confidence that there is a solution to any “crisis”...

It turns out that he has just come back from a seminar on group accounts and was shocked by the statistics on how many companies could be affected by the recent change in the Companies Act which requires medium sized groups to prepare consolidated accounts.

My quiet confidence was founded, any concerns allayed. I know we are about to launch a topical tip on this exact subject matter. I know we are about to hold a seminar on the same matter.

What still bothers me though is the burden it would create on SMEs - our clients… - the very businesses that certainly do not need more compliance burden during these challenging times.

Poor timing? Maybe…
Useful requirement? Possibly…
Plan, be prepared and maximise benefits? Definitely…

Thanks for the topical tips - the advice here was sound. Our business has been going through the process of consolidating our accounts and the change to the Companies Act has definitely made it harder
