Payroll Administrator (Bureau) – Dartford, Kent
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our UK Top 40 firm of Chartered Accountants within our fast growing and forward thinking Payroll Team.

Established in 1899, we serve a diverse client base in a range of industries. Our work is focused wholly on owner managed businesses, with turnovers from circa £1 million up to £100 million. We provide a wide range of services to include audit, accountancy, accounts support, payroll bureau, tax compliance, specialist tax services, M&A and deals / transaction reports.
The firm consists of 21 partners, 5 of whom are based in Dartford together with 48 professional and administrative staff members.
What is the role?
The Barnes Roffe Dartford office currently requires a Payroll Administrator to work in our busy payroll bureau.
You will be responsible for the day to day responsibilities of circa 100 clients. We utilise CCH, STAR payroll professional, Paygate, HMRC basic tools and use pensionsync for some clients’ auto enrolment requirements.
As an administrator you will process the payroll from start to finish, deal with the client directly when required and contact HMRC with any issues that arise.
You will also be involved in setting up payrolls, new PAYE schemes, and auto enrolment on clients who are due to stage. The processes will be overseen by the payroll manager, and payrolls are reviewed prior to being sent out to clients.
While experience within a busy payroll bureau is desirable along with 2 years payroll experience, attitude, competency, work ethic and team working ability are vital to be a valuable member of our team.
