In memory of Allan Cheason

28 January 1955 – 11 March 2021

Our much loved and respected former colleague Allan passed away on 11 March 2021.

His funeral was held on 29 March 2021 at New Southgate Crematorium.

Allan started his working career as a car salesman before deciding that a career in accountancy would suit him better. He graduated from Middlesex Polytechnic with a first in Business Management. He then joined Barnes Roffe in September 1982 as a trainee in the Holborn office, progressing to partner in due course.

His love of cars continued throughout his life and his expert knowledge was utilised by many friends and colleagues.

Allan was also the partner in charge of student training for a number of years and to keep in touch with students that had left a curry club was created which ran for many years.

Allan loved 60’s music and regularly sang bits of songs and would then give you a fact about the singer/band.

He was a self-confessed technology dinosaur but he was a wise man who had a proverb or saying for every situation, a witty comment and always gave you time.

Whilst he retired as a partner in June 2020, he kept in contact with many of his former colleagues and he will be sadly missed by all.
